1. What we collect

CheckCamera uses analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site. These tools may collect: pages visited, time on site, approximate country, browser type and version, and device type.

We do not collect camera footage, microphone audio, or any media from your devices. All camera and microphone processing happens entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded to our servers.

2. Analytics tools

We use the following analytics services, only after you give consent:

• Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC, USA) — measures traffic and user behaviour. Data may be transferred to US servers. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
• Yandex Metrika (Yandex LLC, Russia) — measures traffic and user behaviour. Data may be transferred to servers in Russia. Yandex's privacy policy: yandex.com/legal/confidential

If you decline analytics cookies, neither tool is loaded and no data is collected.

3. Cookies

We store one first-party cookie (cookie-consent) to remember your analytics preference. No other cookies are set by CheckCamera itself. Analytics tools may set their own cookies when you accept.

4. Your rights

You can withdraw or change your analytics consent at any time by clicking Cookie settings in the footer of any page.

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete data held about you. For data held by Google or Yandex, please refer to their respective privacy policies and opt-out tools.

5. Data retention

Analytics data is retained according to the default retention settings of each tool (typically 14 months for Google Analytics). We do not store any personal data on our own servers.
